Some media pointed out that Qualcomm's announcement of the 5G patent licensing fee standard now will increase shareholders' confidence in Qualcomm's future development, and the difficulty of Broadcom's acquisition will also increase. In fact, Qualcomm has made great progress in 5G. Last month, its Xiaolong X50 baseband chip has successfully realized 5G data transmission, and 5G may begin large-scale commercial use in 2019.
